I'm out of town that night I'm afraid, but I'm happy to wait til they play a less shite venue anyway... just found out two of my all time favourites are playing Moho in the coming weeks and that's two more visits than I'd intended to make this year.

I cant find decent connections&fares for this show [All good flights to England seem to be from Barcelona not Madrid  ] so unfortunately I will have to skip to another one.
Hoping here for tones of live dates this spring/summer with the album release. :thumb:

What's up with the venue? I was planning to go to see EC there last time round with a mate, but ended up swerving it for 5th ave. It makes alot more sense when I mention that he's a massive fan of Good Charlotte.

I'm going to be lazy and copy some posts over from the forum of another band soon to play there...... this pretty much covers it, though... note these are the opinions of various different people who go to gigs in Manchester.

Mo fucking ho, I hate moho!

Worst venue in Manchester, strong contender for worst venue in the north... or maybe the world...

I can only assume that the gentlemens urinals at Piccadilly station are double booked for the evening, as they are probably the only other venue in Manchester that rival this cesspool. Shit venue, shit overpriced beer, shit acoustics, shit owners, but other than that its great.

Not really, you forgot the seriously heavy security, the atrocious visibility if there's more than 100 people in there, and the fact that unsigned / up-and-coming bands (including, sometimes, supports for "name" acts) are often forced to sell a minimum ticket allocation. There is a good reason it's known to many local bands and independent promoters as NoGo Live...

I wonder if it's too late to get the band to change the venue? Hint, hint!

Much against all logic and principles,I too shall be attending the Manchester date,(see,I can't even bring myself to type the venues name!),but don't let that deter you. I shall doubtless get thrown out for breathing out of turn, complaining that my beer is flat or just being there at all. Have the band seen this place? I would rather see them play at the bottom of a Glastonbury latrine on Sunday evening.

Save your money Pedro, they're bound to do a tour for the album release which will mean firstly you can do a few dates not just one, and secondly fingers crossed they'll be better places!

Can't disagree with that.

Got to agree with the slating of Moho. It's dark and dingy, and even when it's half full there's nowhere decent to stand without peering round a pillar.

I thought the Deaf Institute late last year was a great venue for them. It was tight, fantastic acoustics for the band's sound, nice and intimate and it generated a good atmosphere generally with all the EC fans down the front. Think it was probably my all-time favourite EC gig looking back.

I never realised Moho had such a bad rep. I saw Exit there before and there were some sound issues but it seemed ok. Maybe it gets a lot worse when it fills up but I managed to stand maybe 2 rows from the stage with a good view

I love it when a plan comes together! I think this could be a bit of a long session, but you'll be glad to know I've been putting the hours in in training with regular guinness sessions to prepare jobs a goodunn.
